My dream has always been to have a positive impact on as many lives as possible. The most obvious way for me to achieve this was to become a therapist. I believe that everyone deserves having an individual in their life that is there to offer support and guidance without judgement and shame. To be that person, I create a safe and trustworthy environment to explore your emotions, thoughts and behaviors. I love having the ability to help others gain more insight about themselves and the situations they are facing, while exploring how their past experiences impact their current lives. Some particular areas of interest for me are helping women build self confidence, exploring early family dynamics and their impact on present day issues, enhancing romantic relationship dynamics, and addressing trauma. I look forward to working with you!
Therapy is a journey that both you and I embark on together to identify and achieve goals that you have for yourself. My familiarity with various cultures contributes to my ability to interact and engage well with others, and bring the necessary empathy and compassion needed in the therapeutic process. Some of the interventions I utilize are CBT, Client Centered Therapy, Motivational interviewing techniques, Schema Therapy, Gottman (Level 3), EMDR, DBT, bibliotherapy, among others depending on the need of the individual, couple, and/or family dynamic. In addition, I can also implement a coaching approach to assist individuals in growing self-awareness and building new coping skills to manage difficult situations. This ultimately positively impacts problem solving skills and helps unlock individuals’ highest potential.I am an active and engaged therapist that draws from different therapeutic styles and techniques depending on what works for you! I value creating a space where you feel comfortable to be vulnerable and explore what you want to work on. With over the decade of working in the mental health field I have worked successfully with diverse populations, building strong connections through compassion and goal oriented work.
I completed my Master in Psychology at Mercy College. I then decided to continue on my educational path and attended State University at Buffalo to complete my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I have worked in the field of Mental Health for nearly a decade now, providing a wide range of services to individuals and families in need. During this time, I have had the opportunity to successfully work with individuals, families, and couples to support growth, improve communication, address traumatic experiences, develop boundary setting skills, gain empowerment, and explore relationship dynamics.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had an acute awareness of the power of love. In my personal relationships, I strive to be a reminder of this force within all of us by providing my loved ones with a safe environment to be all that they are without judgment nor shame. Thus, when exploring career options, it was very clear to me that I wanted to continue to spread this light in the world as a mental health professional. My educational experiences further increased my desire to build a career where I can positively influence others in quest of inner harmony and overall well-being. It brings me great joy to be able to assist others in understanding how their life experiences have impacted their mental state and physical body. Overall, I am particularly interested in supporting others through life transitions, grief and loss, exploring family dynamics, identifying one’s inner child(ren), and embracing a mindful practice that connects one to their body’s inner wisdom, again. I am eagerly looking forward to working with you!

During the duration of my Masters program, I completed my internship requirements as a student-therapist at New York Psychotherapy Counseling Center. My experiences have allowed me to support others through moments of need, changes/transitions, grief and loss, improving communication skills, exploring traumatic experiences, increasing self-awareness, reflecting on personal relationships, and ultimately creating inner harmony and well-being.
Growing up, I remember being passionate about supporting those around me. Whether that was through laughter, simply listening, or even advising friends and family. I hoped to continue to do this, and for me, that was through becoming a therapist. My educational experiences further fueled this desire, as I learned that therapy is not always about having intense moments, but therapy is also about exploring the positive contributions within us. I find fulfillment in being able to provide a safe environment for others by maintaining an encouraging tone. I enjoy providing the space for others to explore how their life experiences have shaped them into the person they are in the present moment. I particularly enjoy supporting others through all ages of life to cope with anxiety, personal development, depression, and strained family dynamics. I look forward to working with you!
