As your therapist, I will provide you with guidance and insight that will guide you toward self-awareness in order to pursue a plan of action that assists you in developing a holistic sense of self. I usually integrate mindfulness exercises into the therapeutic journey, as well as techniques I derive from inner child theory, CBT, DBT, and attachment theory.
As a result of working with me, you will gain increased self-awareness as well as a better understanding of how your life experiences have shaped your thoughts, which in turn has shaped your emotions and behaviors. You will be able to use this understanding to heal from traumatic events and implement new holistic coping strategies that will provide you with the ability to manage your feelings and thoughts to navigate life challenges.
Experience:
Amanda Morales is a Limited-Permit, Mental Health Counselor and The City College of New York’s graduate with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. She has been involved in multiple mental health organizations for the past five years, where she has been able to provide a variety of services to both individuals and families. Her experiences have allowed her to support others through moments of need, changes/transitions, grief and loss, improving communication skills, exploring traumatic experiences, increasing self-awareness, reflecting on personal relationships, and ultimately creating inner harmony and well-being.
