To begin the therapeutic process at Knew You Psychotherapy, the first step is to schedule a free consultation with our intake coordinator. 

During your consultation, you and the intake coordinator will have a chance to further discuss what is bringing you to therapy, your therapeutic goals, your therapeutic history, and answer any questions you may have. The intake coordinator will also help determine the therapist that is right for you and schedule your first appointment.

How long is an initial session?

How often will we meet?    
Clients are typically seen on a weekly basis initially, and may come less frequently as time progresses.

How long will therapy last?     
This depends on your goals and needs. We will always explore how things are working, frequency needed and when you are ready to end.  

Do you accept insurance?     

Yes, we are currently credentialed with Aetna, MVP and Cigna in New York State. 

We are also credentialed with Aetna, United Health Care, ConnectiCare and Anthem BCBS in Connecticut. 

We also provide superbills for those seeking out-of-network reimbursement. 

What is the cost for sessions? (Please see sliding scale info below.)

Consultation Call w/ Intake Coordinator via phone (15 minutes): Free

Consultation Call w/ Intake Coordinator via video (20 minutes): $75

Fees to work with Clinic Owner 

Individual Sessions w/ Clinic Owner (45-50 minutes): $225

Couples Session w/ Clinic Owner (60-75 minutes): $300 

Fees to work with Associate Therapist

Individual Sessions w/ Associate Therapist (45-50 minutes): $175

Ongoing Couple Sessions w/ Associate Therapist (60-75 minutes): $225

How can I pay for my sessions?     

Clients are required to have a credit card on file; payments can also be made with FSA & debit cards. 

Do you offer a sliding scale?    

Yes, for students, individuals between jobs, or those experiencing financial hardship, this can be arranged.

Knew You Psychotherapy is a fully remote practice; all therapy sessions are provided through videoconferencing via a confidential online video platform.
